8 regular season games (make-up games based on permit availability) with balls/bases included

Team Frequently Asked Questions
  • Are there refunds for unplayed games?: There are NO refunds for the shortened seasons if regular games are canceled due to weather or the closure of fields from the Parks Department.
  • What's included in the league fee?: (1) field for preseason practice, (8) regular season games in Central Park, (2) post-season games (if qualified), balls/bases included each game, discounts from sponsor bars and jerseys.
  • Are all the games in Central Park?: Yes. Games are played in either Heckscher, Great Lawn, or North Meadows Fields.
  • What times are the games?: Games early in the season will start at 6pm due to early sunsets in April. In May, games will start at 6:15pm.
  • What association bats are allowed?: All association bats are allowed.
  • What type of pitching?: It's lob ball pitching. The ball cannot be flat, must have a slight arc.
  • Mandatory to have a catcher's mask?: Yes
  • Can we have a field to practice?: Yes, we will limit each team to one session before the start of the season.
  • How many men and women on the field?: No more than (7) men and (3) women can be on the field. You can have extra hitters and designated hitters for each gender. You must have at least (6) men and (2) women to start a game.
  • Can I purchase custom team uniforms?: Yes, please send an email to info@pssoftball.com with the subject "Custom Team Uniforms.
  • Will there be a manager's meeting?: Yes. There will be a manager's meeting prior to the start of the season to review rules and league schedule.
  • Where are the rules?: Rules can be found in the "Resources" tab on the website's homepage. They will be updated before the season starts and a notification will be sent out.
  • Can I update my player stats?: Yes, as a manager, you can add your player's stats for the season
